We have configured our Google Analytics 4 deployment with IPanonymisation and we operate under Google Consent Mode V2 with defaults-denied.Until you accept the Analytics category in our cookie banner, Google Analyticssets no cookies and sends no personal data. Cookieless pings may be sent formeasurement modelling in line with Google’s Consent Mode V2 design.

3.3. Marketing and Personalization Cookiesy

At present, we do not deploy any cookies in these categorieson www.security-consultant.com. The categories are reserved so that, if we addmarketing or personalization tools in the future (for example, a Linked InInsight Tag, an advertising pixel, or a personalization tool), your consentwill be sought before any such cookie is set. We will update this policy beforeany new cookies in these categories are introduced.

4. Legal Basis for Using Cookies

We rely on the following legal grounds to set cookies on yourdevice and to process the personal data they may involve:

1. Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a);PECR/UK ePrivacy Regulations 6). We rely on your consent for all cookiesthat are not strictly necessary, including Analytics cookies and any futureMarketing or Personalization cookies. You give consent by interacting with ourcookie banner. You may withdraw your consent at any time using the methodsdescribed in Section 6 below.

2. Legal obligation (GDPR Art.6(1)(c)). We rely on legal obligation for cookies that record your consentchoices, because we are required under the GDPR and PECR to demonstrate thatvalid consent has been obtained.

3. Legitimate interests (GDPRArt. 6(1)(f)). We rely on our legitimate interest in maintaining thesecurity and integrity of our website for cookies that perform bot mitigation,rate limiting, and other security functions. Our assessment is documented andavailable to data subjects on request.

5. Legal Basis for Using Cookies

Some of the cookies described above involve a transfer ofpersonal information to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA),specifically to the United States. We rely on the following safeguards forthese transfers:

1. Google LLC (Analytics cookies). Google LLC is certified under theEU-US Data Privacy Framework following the European Commission’s adequacydecision of 10 July 2023. We additionally rely on the European Commission’sStandard Contractual Clauses as a fallback safeguard, supplemented by Google’stechnical and organisational measures.

2. Cloudflare, Inc. (_cfuvid cookie). We rely on the EuropeanCommission’s Standard Contractual Clauses as set out in Cloudflare’s DataProcessing Addendum, supplemented by Cloudflare’s technical and organisationalmeasures.
